Nothing here is produced. It is made — by hands we know, in places we love, in numbers small enough that every piece keeps its own name.

The Practice

THREE DISCIPLINES
I.

Garments

Cut to move like water. Piña-silk, linen, and court whites — fitted across two coastlines, finished by hand, made in editions of twelve or fewer.

II.

Ceramics

Hand-built stoneware in glazes drawn from Horseshoe Bay and the Visayan shallows. No two vessels share a tide line.

III.

Objects

Cedar, capiz, and shell — small things for the table and the windowsill, carried from the places that taught us light.

From the bench

The first arrival, as it's made.

Right now: piña is being knotted in Aklan, the first vessels are at the kiln, and the court whites are in their second fitting. We photograph the work as it happens and mail it to collectors before anything reaches this site.
